Gangwon Land and Korea East-West Power signed a business agreement with Youngjin E&R to jointly develop wind power projects to implement carbon neutrality.

Gangwon Land and East-West Power announced on the 19th that about 30 officials, including Gangwon Land CEO Lee Sam-gul, East-West Power President Kim Young-moon, and Youngjin E&R CEO Kim Jae-jong, attended the signing ceremony held at the High1 Resort Grand Hotel.

According to the agreement, Gangwon Land provides a site for installing wind instruments for the construction of new wind farms and supports administrative tasks such as licensing. East-West Power plans to provide various permits and respond to residents' complaints, including support for various permits, provision of sites for installing storm meters, and permission for power generation projects.

In addition, the three companies decided to jointly respond to minimize damage to local residents such as noise and share information, technology, and human resources to promote the project.

The wind power complex, which aims to be operated by 2030, will be 100MW, with a total project cost of 300 billion won. If the complex is built, it is expected to generate about 220 GWh of electricity annually, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by more than 100,000 tons. The wind power complex is located in the highlands of the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range of High1 Resort, and the utilization rate is expected to be more than 26%. This is well above the national average utilization rate of 17.4%.!106&ithint=file%2cdocx&authkey=!ANUJIaS7DstoyhM
